The children from Junior Infants to Sixth class under the guidance of Ms. Kelleghan have completed a collaborative group art project that will hang proudly in our school for the years to come.
Every child painted their own butterfly to represent their uniqueness and individualism as part of our school community, while the children from 3rd to 6th class had the opportunity to develop and experience sculpture making techniques as they used modelling wire and Modroc to create a 3-D base on which to mount our butterflies.
The result is absolutely stunning and we are all very proud of our pupils for creating such a masterpiece together.
The butterflies extend off the sculpture itself onto the wall, flying towards a 'Creation' piece completed by the pupils in 6th class for our new designated communal sacred space in our school hall.
