School Sports Teams

Join In!

St. Tola's offers the pupils from 3rd class upwards the opportunity to play on Hurling & Camogie teams, and both Boys and Girls Gaelic football teams.

All of our sports teams have had excellent success in the Cumann na mBunscol competitions. Ms. Somers, Mr. Doherty & Ms. Varley are our school coaches.

Athletics

Get Active!

Here at St. Tola's we encourage the pupils to get active on a daily basis. To help us do this we have a running track in our school which is used by all the classes.

The children from 1st class up also have the opportunity to take part in the Belvedere and Rathwire Cross Country races every year.

Tin Whistle

Let's play!

An external music teacher comes to St. Tola's once a week and teaches the children from 1st class upwards tin whistle.

By the end of their schooling children will be competent tin whistle players who are able to read music notes and play a plethora of tunes. Our children even had the opportunity of playing at this year's fleadh ceoil for the President!

Tennis

Time to Serve!

All pupils from Junior Infants upwards will have the opportunity to take part in a six week tennis programme with an external teacher where they will learn the skills of the game.

Tennis lessons usually occur in term 3.
